Most of us consider food as that substance which nourishes our physical life,
and without which we cannot survive. But Christ also speaks of another kind of food
that is not perishable food, the food that only God can give us and which endures to
eternal life.

2nd Collection this week is for parish audit.
June 24th – 27th, 2013, the parish is planning
a trip to Tuolumne Valley, Sierra. Reservations
are required a year in advance.

Most Rev. Salvatore Cordileone
will be the 9th Archbishop of San
Francisco, when he is appointed on
October 4, 2012, Feast Day of St.
Francis of Assisi. He was born in San
Diego, graduated from University of
San Diego, degree in Philosophy,
doctorate from Rome in Canon Law.
He speaks fluent Spanish and has
strong
supportive
views
for
immigrants. His father was born in
San Francisco, and has many
connections in San Francisco.

For varied reasons some people are
disillusioned with the church today.
Disillusioned means quite literally to
have illusions stripped away. But
sometimes this is a good thing, because
we face realities in a more honest way.
This year marks the 30th Anniversary
of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in
Washington, D.C.
Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Four of
the six priests have been returned to
ministry after unsubstantiated
allegations were made against them.
