1st day | Arequipa / Qolpa
Transfer (4h) from the hotel to Chivay (3,600mt/11,810ft), to continue to Lari (1h). Here we will start our
trekking (3.30h) until the campsite at Qolpa (4.450mt/14.600ft).
2nd day | Qolpa / Carhuasanta River
Breakfast. We will start the trek (4h) until Apacheta pass, the most remote tributary of the Amazon. Then,
we will continue (2h) to our camp on the Carhuasanta River (4.730mt/15,520ft).
3rd day | Carhuasanta River / Puquio
Breakfast. Today we will reach one of the most remote tributaries of the Amazon River at the foot of Mount
Mismi (5.150mt/16.895ft). Then, we will descend to our campsite at Puquio.
4th day | Puquio / Arequipa
Breakfast. Early morning, the transportation will pick us up to visit various places of interest, like the old
ghost town of Ran Ran (4.482mt/14,705ft). After lunch at Chivay, we will go back to Arequipa (3h).
THE PROGRAM INCLUDES
Private transport, mountain tents, insulation blankets, first aid kit and safety equipment, food (3 breakfasts,
4 cold lunches and 3 dinners), dining tent, kitchenware, kitchen tent and equipment, table, stools, cook,
helper, donkeys and porters, trekking guide, aspiring guide (for groups over 10 pax).
