Colette McGarva & Julia Whitaker gave a presentation
on The Ayrshire 21 Project. This project was funded by
Leader for rural communities.
Action Points*
Items discussed:
 12 Communities already had action plans
 12 Communities identified who do not have
action plans.
 7 communities were to have action plans over
the 3 Ayrshire, but South Ayrshire decided on
all 12.
 Work in & with the communities
 Some more difficult than others
 Opinion/Views of everyone in the community
(Young & Old)
 Difficulties - Short term project, chasing to get
responses, support after project and help
communities stay engaged.
 Action plans in place by end January 2014

6. Aileen McCusker Early Years
Collaborative in
South Ayrshire
Aileen sent her apologise as could not attend this
meeting. Lynn Anderson gave out handout that Aileen
had supplied for the group. Lynn discussed items on
the handouts:
 Identify service priorities/drivers from service
plans and email to Katrina Magill - as a result of
the above identify who will be undertaking the
work to achieve these priorities.
 AHP EYC learning session to be organised
 Walk rounds by Chief Executive Officers.
 Learning Session a lot going on - update will be
given by The Breastfeeding Network from the
meeting on the 28/29 January 2014. - Pre-birth
to 3 years.
 Naomi Harvey said she would ask Sarah
Edwards regarding them giving feedback on the
EYC Workshop 1 or 2.
The group agreed that Katrina Magill should be invited

Linda Muir introduced herself as our new Board
Member and asked the group if they had any training
needs. Vasa are doing SQA course on management of
volunteers. This is a very high level course which may
not be suitable to everyone.
