Location
SAIT Residence is located on the north-east corner of the SAIT campus.
Our street address is 151 Dr. Carpenter Circle NW. Our front desk can be found on the main
floor of “The Tower” (22 story, silver building). There are two residence buildings – The Begin
Tower and East Hall. The Begin Tower houses our studio and two bedroom units and East Hall
houses our one bedroom and four bedroom units. If you plan to commute via a taxi service,
please advise them that you would like to go to “SAIT Residence – The Begin Tower (the
newest residence)” and they will know exactly where to bring you.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing to the Leasing and Conferencing Coordinator of SAIT
Residence and received 10 days prior to arrival date to receive a full refund of advance
payments. Cancellation requests received after this date but 48 hours prior to arrival date are
subject to a cancellation fee equal to the value of 50% of full contract price. Cancellation
requests received after 48 hours prior to arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee equal to
the full value of the contract. Partial cancellations (room number reductions) are subject to
the same dates and cancellation fees mentioned above. Room additions are subject to
availability and must be requested no less than 24 hours prior to check-in.

Upon your arrival to The Begin Tower, please come in the main doors and you will find our front
desk. It is imperative that the person whose name is on the contract be present to pick-up any keys
with picture identification. If this will not be possible you must advise us via e-mail ahead of time so
we can add the guests name to your file. We must know at least 24 hours prior to check-in.
Method of Payment
At the front desk we accept cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard, certified cheques and
money orders. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept personal cheques. Balances
must be paid in full prior to keys being issued.
Parking
The parking lot located directly outside of The Begin Tower is not free. Please ensure you pay at
the provided machine to avoid any parking tickets and/or towing. We are not responsible for any
parking tickets and/or tow fees accumulated during your stay with us. If parking passes are

requested prior to check-in, they will be provided with your check-in package. Parking
passes are valid in our parkade (Levels 2 and 3 ONLY) which is located on the lower end
of campus (about a 3-4 minute walk from the residence buildings). The maximum height
of vehicles able to access this parkade is 6 feet, if your vehicle is above this height,
please advise us in advance and we will provide you with alternative parking.
Parking passes are issued as follows:
- 1 Parking Pass per Studio, 2 Bedroom Unit
- 2 Parking Passes per 4 Bedroom Unit

- Partially furnished; full sized refrigerator, stove top, microwave, table, chair, one
double size bed, desk and chair, two stackable dressers, 27” LCD television with
basic cable, telephone (local calls only).
- Linens; comforter, bed sheets, pillow (1 per person/single occupancy) and pillow case
- Towels; one bath towel, hand towel and face cloth (based on single occupancy)
- Travel size bottle of shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer and hand soap
- Wired internet (Ethernet cords may be purchased at the front desk for $5.00 each)
- Garbage bin with garbage bags
- Toilet Paper
Two Bedroom Unit:
- Partially furnished; full sized refrigerator, stove top, microwave, table, chairs, two double size
beds, desk and chair, two stackable dressers, telephone (local calls only). *Please note, there is no
television in this unit, you may bring one with you if you would like as there is cable provided.
- Linens; comforter, bed sheets, pillow (1 per person per bed space/single
occupancy) and pillow case
- Towels; one bath towel, hand towel and face cloth (based on single occupancy)

Housekeeping Services
Unless you are staying longer than 8 days at SAIT Residence or have requested housekeeping
services, we will NOT enter your unit to do any kind of housekeeping services (linen changes,
cleaning, towel changes, etc). Additional pillows and towels are available at the front desk.
There are laundry facilities in the basement of both our residence buildings available for your
use. Should you wish to use these services, please advise us prior to or upon your arrival and
we will provide you with a loadable laundry card.

If you are staying for longer than 8 days we will enter your unit between the 7 and

10 day of your stay to do a linen change and light clean of your unit (unless
otherwise requested). Please advise the front desk if you foresee any issues with this.
FAQ
1.) Are the buildings air conditioned? Are fans provided upon request?
SAIT Residence does not have air conditioning and unfortunately we do not have
cooling fans. You are more than welcome to bring one with you.
2.) How close is SAIT Residence to other buildings located on SAIT’s campus?
SAIT Residence is fortunate enough to be located on campus and within a 1-4
minute walk from everything on campus.
3.) How close is SAIT Residence to downtown Calgary, Kensington and the Stampede Grounds?
Calgary has a fantastic transit system and SAIT has a train station located on campus. If
commuting by train, we are only 4-5 stops from all above locations. If walking, downtown
and Kensington are only 15 minutes and if driving, 5- 10 minutes depending on traffic.
Stampede Park is approximately a 15 minute train or car ride. For further information

4.) Do you offer cots and/or cribs?
Unfortunately we are unable to offer cots and/or cribs.
5.) Do you have gym facilities?
The recreation centre is available for your use. Rates are NOT included in the
