Paul Revere Chapter-#178
3rd Quarter Newsletter
July through September 2013
September 30, 2013
Dear Paul Revere Chapter Members, Friends and Supporters:
A heartfelt thank you for all the work and support you give our chapter as we support the Air
Force Family. It was another busy quarter supporting and serving our Air Force community.
In July, we had our annual summer barbecue at the Lowell Care Center. During the week of July
14th, we had the pleasure of providing a guest lecturer, Michael Young, Information Assurance
Officer to Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School’s Science Technology Engineering
Mathematics (STEM) Camp. Over 90 Marine Corps JROTC cadets from 15 high schools attended
this camp. August 10th, members Ron Adams and Frank Holmes planned and hosted an
outstanding clambake for the 325th “Checkertails” Fighter Group’s 68th reunion.
Our Chapter just came back from the AFA National Convention where we were recognized and
presented the Donald W. Steele, Sr. Award. This award is the 2013 Unit of the Year award. The
chapter is stronger than ever and we continue to serve and support Airpower and the many men
and women of the Air Force family.
There is much excitement in the near future and this coming year. We just elected a new slate of
officers, all great people and great workers. October 8th, we’ll be headed to the links at Shaker
Hills to golf with leaders and members of the Air Force at Hanscom AFB and on 9 November we
will be executing our 4th Annual Fun Run. From last year’s run our chapter raised $8,100 for
Veterans’ programs, deployed troops and their families.
There is much to do and many great folks to work with in our chapter. Come on out support one
of these events, meet the new chapter officer team and/or simply join one of the greatest chapters
in the Air Force Association.
Hands in; Let’s Move Out!
