Accomplished AACSB Business Dean- Directs $10,200,000 annual budget, $11,000,000
endowment, and 42 full-time faculty members. AACSB peer team review experienced.
Raised $5,100,000 between 2013-2015 to launch a business doctorate and introduce
online/blended delivery of both graduate and undergraduate programs. Directed the
introduction of several new programs including business analytics, consumer goods &
service marketing, and management accounting
Drove diversity and internationalization- Helped increase the number of diverse faculty
and enrolled students from ethnic minorities. Built a successful corporate and
international collaboration strategy for JU Drove growth of foreign-born students and
study abroad participation by 130%. Accelerated academic excellence by upgrading
standards for teaching, research, and service among Davis faculty, staff, and students as
evidenced by AACSB reaccreditation at the doctoral level in 2015. Increased graduate

2009-2012 President’s Council Participant. Responsible for external affairs,
marketing, strategic planning, athletics, IT, and international programs. Developed
strong relationships with five new college donors that contributed over $23,300,000
to Monmouth from 2006-2011. Lead a collaborative effort to publish Monmouth’s
2020 strategic plan. Created new Monmouth branding and expanded web
presence.
Interim Vice President, Enrollment Management
Developed Midwest Scholars Program that brought 111 top prospects to campus in
2009 and yielded 58% of candidates with a 27+ ACT and 3.5 GPA. Brought in the
3rd and 5th (2010) largest incoming classes during the height of the great recession.

Built a 41 person, multi- disciplinary marketing and sales team from 1997-1999 as the chief
marketing architect for clickrewards.com. Instrumental in Netcentives (NCNT) to obtain $7
million in 2nd round funding in 1998 and public via NASDAQ in October of 1999.

Drove profitability. Hired and managed 61 staff members. Directed all agency’s new
business efforts that resulted in the addition of $13MM in annual revenues.
Co-Founder & President Above the Rim/Reebok and The Capener Company
San Diego, CA 1987-1994
Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer for Above the Rim (ATR), the original basketball
apparel brand that grew to $10,000,000 in sales by 1992. President of The Capener
Company-Advertising & Marketing. Directed the due-diligence that resulted in the sale of
ATR to Reebok in 1993. Drove the Capener Company’s client base that grew into San
Diego’s fourth largest marketing agency with 42 employees and $3,200,000 in net
revenues.
