About the Art Academy of Cincinnati
Established in 1869, the Art Academy of Cincinnati has a rich heritage
of great art and great art instruction. Since its earliest beginnings,
the Art Academy has educated many accomplished artists and
designers, provided personalized attention to students, and touched
Cincinnatians’ lives through community education. Now located in
historic Over-the-Rhine in Cincinnati, Ohio, this private, not-for-profit
institution of higher education is well positioned as an anchor for the
creative artistic community in a vibrant and growing arts district.
Our mission as an independent college of art and design is to provide
personalized education in the visual arts. Our vision is to excel and to
be recognized as a vibrant, creative community dedicated to engaging
innovative visual artists who make meaningful contributions to the
world. Our tag line “Make Art, Make a Difference” embodies the
institution’s goals and promise to the community: to provide highquality instruction from an accredited institution that helps provide
a positive community impact.
