Why SUPATILE SLAT ?
SUPATILE SLAT is the latest addition to SUPAWOOD’s
popular SUPATILE family of products developed to fit
into the traditional 2-way T-bar grid ceiling system.
Both decorative and sound absorbent, SUPATILE SLAT
will quickly and easily transform any area with an up
market timber or linear look.

Fixing Options
SUPATILE SLAT panels come in two fixing options.
Lift & Shift (L&S) is supplied with SUPAWOOD’s own SUPATILE grid system.
DIT (Drop-In Tiles) are designed to fit into an existing grid system.

Panel to Panel
Grid Requirements:
Grid is to be SUPATILE GRID with
main runners installed at 600mm
centres with 600mm cross-tees at
1200 or 600mm centres.
Panel to Panel - end to end
When installed as per SUPAWOOD's
instructions the SUPATILE Grid will

configuration.

SUPATILE Slat L&S panels can
“cross over” T-bars, which means a
600 x 600 SUPATILE Grid layout
can be used to create a truly
random panel layout.
Grid Requirements:
Existing grid may be repainted
(enamel paint recommended) and
used but must be able to support the
weight of the tiles as well as the
service load factors as prescribed in
the AS2785. Refer to Supawoods
Technical Services Department for tile
weights.
What is required to achieve this will
depend on the specific brand,
system and configuration currently
installed.

centres. Grid is to be installed as per Supawood's
“SUPATILE SLAT Lift & Shift Grid & Panel installation
procedure”.
Grid Requirements for Drop in Tile fixing option:
Existing grid may be repainted (enamel paint
recommended) and used but it is the contractors
responsibility to ensure it is able to support the weight of the
tiles as well as the service load factors as prescribed in the
AS2785. *
Refer to Supawood's Technical Services Department for tile
weights.

Typically additional support would be expected to consist of
additional hanger supports but the contractor is to take
independent advice on this from the original supplier of the
existing grid.
Panels are to be FSC or PEFC certified. Documentary
evidence in the form of an invoice with each line item
annotated with the PEFC/FSC content and supplier's chainof-custody number must be provided to the project
superintendent for project completion.
