To learn more about his life and his mission, the following books are available in our library: • All Rivers Run to the Sea – a memoir • The Night Trilogy – contains Night, a masterpiece of Holocaust literature, and two novels. • Open Heart – his last book, published in 2012, is a very different work of introspection in which he reflects on his life and family and confronts his own mortality. Each year, hundreds of thousands of children under the age of 5 die of malaria. We, as members of United Methodist Church, have the ability to help eradicate this mosquito-borne disease. In the efforts to stamp out malaria, the Mississippi Conference of the UMC is focusing on Imagine No Malaria, a campaign to raise awareness and money to eradicate this disease and has set a goal of supplying 100,000 malaria nets. Please pick up your donation box and begin collecting. These offerings will be received on World Communion Sunday, October 2. We look forward to working with everyone in our church to do our part to help the Conference met our goals!
