2016 SCS SUMMER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
Elementary Intervention/Promotion (K-5)
Dates:
June 13 – July 8, 2016
Times/Sites:
7:30 AM - 1:30 PM – William H Brewster ES and Holmes Rd. ES
8:30 AM - 2:30 PM – Carnes ES, Kate Bond ES, Scenic Hills ES and Winridge ES
Description:
SCS Elementary students in grade K are eligible for this program if they are not meeting the
required benchmarks in Reading and Math. SCS Elementary students in grades 1 - 5 are
eligible for this program if they have failed Reading and/or Math
Registration Dates:
• Tuesday, June 7

• Wednesday, June 8 Noon – 6PM

Middle School Intervention/Promotional Program (6-8)

Description:
Must currently be a District Managed SCS Middle School students in grades 6 – 8 are eligible for
this program if they have failed one or two course subjects (Language Arts, Math, Science, or
Social Studies)

Description:
District Managed SCS students (grades 9-12) who failed a current 2015-2016-core course listed
below with a final grade of 50-69 are eligible to enroll in the Summer Virtual School program.
This is a web-based program that requires the student to have a home computer (desktop or
laptop). Students must schedule an initial pre-test at Hamilton High School. Scheduled face-toface teacher instruction will be held at Hamilton High School for students who fail to earn 70%
on three assignments. Upon completion, students must schedule to take a proctored post-test
Hamilton High School.
