In this pack you should find everything that
you need to plan your bake sale and raise
funds for The Big Issue Foundation.
This pack includes easy step instructions, a
poster to advertise to your colleagues, friends
or neighbours, ideas of what to bake, and a
‘who is bringing/baking what’ list.

How to plan your perfect bake sale
•
Put up posters up around where you are going to have your bake sale
(although make sure you have permission for this first) and let people know
not to have a big breakfast on that day.
•
Encourage everyone to bring in a sweet treat whether its cakes, cookies or
muffins (cupcakes work well; big cakes can be a bit tricky to cut up). If there
are people in your group that aren’t as culinerily gifted as others why not
ask them to make some lemonade? If there’s lots of you then try to get
different people to bring different things using the ‘who is bringing what’ list
so there’s a variety.
•
On the day set up a table with a donations box so that everyone can display
their creations.
•
At lunch time (or break time if you can’t wait that long) everyone can dig in
and leave their donations.
•
Remember to take lots of photos
•
All the proceeds are sent to The Big Issue Foundation to help some of the
most vulnerable people in our society take those vital steps away from
homelessness.
