What makes them so dangerous? Hippos are the third largest land
mammal and one of the most aggressive animals in the world. They are
highly territorial animals and have 12 inch tusks that can bite a crocodile
in half. Females are more deadly than males because they are very
protective of their calves. Their habitat is often encroached upon by
farmers and tourists, resulting in many fatalities.
