Please note: The judges are construction industry representatives and for these awards they do not require your company marketing material nor do they
require information on past or other current projects.
Please provide a statement which best describes your entry (maximum 80 words) which may be read out during the award evening if your project is a
winner in its category. Construction details only please, not marketing information.

The Energy, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Safety Awards will be presented in conjunction with the
MBA Annual Dinner & Construction Awards on Saturday 4 November 2017 at THE STAR, Event Centre, Pyrmont.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
PRIVACY REQUIREMENTS
The judging panels will inspect all projects entered. Please note the
contact person on site must be the project/site manager responsible
for the project. Entrants will receive at least one week’s notice of the
inspection time and date.
It is a requirement of the Awards that press photography is permitted of
the exterior and interior of major award winning entries.
We suggest this is clarified and approved by the client.
Should there be a period of time during judging that is not
suitable for inspection to take place, please advise the
Association no later than 9 June 2017, to lessen the impact on
scheduling on-site inspections.
I do not wish to publish the contract price.

1. Every effort will be made to maximise publicity for all entrants.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
ENTRANT AUTHORISATION
PLEASE READ ALL CONDITIONS AND SIGN THE AUTHORISATION
I / We hereby agree to enter the before-mentioned project in the Master
Builders 2017 Excellence in Construction Awards and agree to be bound
by the conditions of entry, set out herein. I / We acknowledge that all
information provided in this submission is true and accurate. I / We
also agree to abide by the judges’ decision, which shall be final, and no
correspondence shall be entered into. I / We also agree that this property
is inspected for the purpose of being an entrant in the Master Builders
2017 Excellence in Construction Awards. Publicity surrounding this project
includes, but is not limited to, promotion in Master Builders publications,
website and any media relating to the Awards program and future Master
Builders promotional programs.

PRIOR TO SUBMITTING ENTRY.
1.The competition is open to any company or project manager operating
in the building and construction industry in NSW.
2. One entry per form.
3.Winning entries in previous MBA of NSW Awards cannot be
re-entered.
4.The judges reserve the right to determine whether any entry has been
entered in the relevant division/price category and to transfer entries
into the division/price category which they deem appropriate.
5. The judges reserve the right to determine the eligibility of an entry.
6.The entrant must obtain assurance of the client’s co-operation in
regard to access for judging.
7.Judges must have internal access to the building at any time on the
day specified for judging.
8.If the building is not occupied at the time of entering the competition,
but it later becomes occupied, permission and agreement to allow
access must be obtained by the builder from the occupier prior to
judging in time for inspection.
9. Each entry form must be completed in full, giving all details required.
10.Details of entries can be published only if suitable material is
provided.
11.Authority, privacy and conditions of entry clauses must be signed
separately.
12.Each entry may be published in the media providing suitable material
is supplied. Entry in the competition does not, however, automatically
ensure exposure in the media.
13. The MBA of NSW reserves the right to refuse to accept any entry.
14. All entries must be located in New South Wales.
15.All documents, including photography, submitted remain the property
of the MBA of NSW.
16.Judges’ decisions are final. No correspondence will be entered into.
A winner may not necessarily be declared in all categories.
17. All entries must be received by Friday 9 June 2017.
18.All photography taken by the Master Builders Association of
NSW photographer for the express purpose of the Excellence in
Construction Awards and all related promotional activity is subject to
copyright. As such this material cannot be used or reproduced by any
other party(s) for purposes not associated with the Awards.
19. All projects must have received the Practical Completion Certificate no
later than the 2nd June 2017 otherwise the entry will not be judged.
20.I/We agree to notify the Master Builders Association of NSW (MBA of
NSW) and withdraw any entries submitted for the 2017 Excellence
in Construction Awards if our business/company is placed in
administration or receivership.
21.I/We understand that the MBA of NSW can reject an entry or
withdraw any Award, if for any reason including, but not limited to,
any act of insolvency, breach of the Code of Conduct, a complaint
to or action by NSW Fair Trading, any information in the form is
incorrect, or any other reason that may affect the reputation of or
cause embarrassment to the Association or the Construction Awards.
22. Each entry form must be completed in full, giving all details required,
including any penalty notices, prosecutions or fines issued to the
project being judged by a relevant regulatory authority or court.

MBA REGIONAL AWARDS.
