As shown above in the figure 3 and 4, if a manufacturer supplies the sheath fiber of the ferrule which have been cleaved and stripped already ① The surface of the fiber can be oxidized by exposing the sheath of the optical cable in air for long time ② During the field work process, damage and handling cautions are required (the major cause for the work efficiency to be reduced and defect ratio and cost of production) ③ Difficult to work because the ferrule must be bonded by epoxy as 125um bare fiber ④ Hard to polish the ferrule after epoxy-bonding ⑤ Problematic to process quality test after polishing work ⑥ Troublesome to cleave and package [Major Cause] The major reason, that the manufacturer strip the sheath of fiber in advance and then commercialize, is that they can not resolve the technical problems associated with fiber stripping defect, hackle on the fiber surface and separation between ferrule which can take place in the field during the mechanical stripping. - Ilsintech has resolved the problems completely in Swift-F1 fusion splicer basing on its supreme precision processing technology.
