2012 Carolina's Order of the Arrow Indian Seminar
Friday, January 20, 2012 to Sunday, January 22, 2012
Mitchell Community College Continuing Education Center, Statesville, NC
“It is a teaching weekend with intensive classes on many aspects of Native dance, clothing, and
culture aimed at Boy Scout Order of the Arrow Lodges, Scouts, Venture Crews, and others
interested in respectfully preserving Native culture and traditions. The two pow-wows held
during the weekend are for seminar participants, are not competitive and no prizes are
awarded.” ~Hosted by Eswau Huppeday Lodge, Piedmont Council, North Carolina- Boy Scouts of America
Cost for the weekend is $38.00
Price includes Seminar patch, information booklet and schedule, on site sleeping, Friday night snack,
Breakfast, Lunch, Supper, and snack Saturday, and Sunday Breakfast. Staying in local motels is a
possibility, but needs to be addressed soon. Moneys will be needed for a meal on the trip to the
college. (Transportation options will depend on youth interest and the number of adults attending
willing to transport, please contact for further information)
