A care-free, robust series for containers, window boxes
or planted in the garden. Perfect size for a dahlia series
– neither “short & dumpy” nor “big and rangy” – great
for sale in quarts or gallons, with excellent presentation
and retail appeal. Will work well in mixed containers or
bedding for the consumer and flower non-stop from April
until frost, never missing a beat. Tubers can be taken up
in autumn and stored frost-free.
Pot Size: 1 liner per quart, 3 liners per gallon pot
CROP TIME: About 8-10 weeks
Planting: Pot Feb-March for April-May sales in quart
pots, or later for summer sales. Soft pinch at planting or
shortly thereafter.
Soil mix: Peatlite mix, neutral pH, good water and
nutrient retention.

Temperature: Start warm (70-75°F) to establish and
bulk, then finish cooler (50-55°F). Outdoor cultivation after
last risk of frost possible and results in excellent finished
quality
Light: Best when grown under full sun conditions. Plants
go dormant under short-day conditions, but flower under
long days
Plant Growth Regulators: Plants are wellbranched and naturally compact, but PGR treatments
recommended when flower buds start to develop to keep
pedicels short and improve retail appeal.
