Printing in the CEP. Introduction. The CEP has 2 main, heavy duty public printers for staff to use. These are named Arsenal and Pubprint1. These printers print out double sided to save paper. A third public printer is available for all staff sitting in Zones 14 and 15. This printer is named Zone 15 ps. If you are going to convert Word documents with equations or Scientific Word documents into Adobe PDF then you will need this printer. This document will show you how to connect to these printers. As a courtesy to users… 1. Stata log files: Please print out relevant pages only. For example, do not print out 300 pages of a stata log file if you only need to check one or two pages. 2. PDF files from JSTOR or NBER: Please save these papers locally to your own computer or to your j: space first. Close Internet Explorer and then open these files in Adobe Acrobat Reader and print from there. You will find they print out FASTER than if you print direct from the Internet site. 3. Make sure your document is set as A4. This is the most common reason why a document does not print out. If you have already printed out a document set at Letter size go to the printer directly and click on Go for the printer to use A4, else everyone else’s work will be queued behind this job, and will not print. 4. Pick up your printing immediately. If you don’t you may find it has been binned in the recycle bin. 5. And finally please keep the printing area tidy. Adding a printer: Arsenal. 1.
