Superhero/ Villain Compound Project
Due: November 16th
You have been hired by Compounds of the Universe, a comic book publisher, to
create a new superhero/ villain whose appearance, characteristics, and powers
are based on an assigned compound. Your supervisor wants you to present your
new superhero/ villain so that everyone will want to buy a copy. Before you can
get started you will need to do some research in order to become an expert for your
assigned element.
There are a few very important things that must be included in your presentation:
 A creative name for your superhero/ villain

At least 3 super powers based off of the properties that your compound has.
Examples: If your compound is water your superhero could change forms
physically (solid, liquid, or gas).
 Your superhero/ villain’s physical appearance must correspond to the
physical properties of your compound. Example: If table salt is your
compound, your villain could have white hair, skin, uniform, etc.
 A logo that includes the chemical formula
 An artistic representation of your superhero/ villain. Examples: drawn on
poster board, life size cut out, dressing up a doll/stuffed animal. Must be at
least poster board size and colored, a pencil sketch on notebook/printer paper
is not acceptable.
 You will also need to write a story or create a comic (must include dialog and
be at least 8 frames) about your superhero/ villain. This story should include
an explanation about how your superhero/ villain got their powers and
include a battle with their nemesis.
Remember to be creative, use your imagination, and have fun!
