Therefore My heart yearns for him
“Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a pleasant child? For though I spoke against
him, I earnestly remember him still; Therefore My heart yearns for him; I will
surely have mercy on him, says the Lord. Jer.31:20
This is one of my favorite verses for it reveals the heart of God himself. The sins
of Ephraim had separated him from God, but God still yearned over him with
love. God would find a way to bring Ephraim back! Take courage dear saint, God
is in love with you and all who you pray for are not lost, God will find a way to
bring them back!
We need to remember and to be reminded constantly of God’s love for us all.
Think of it, no one goes through life without the constant touch of God on them
asking them to come to Him! Through nature God speaks to people, through His
Word, through people many times over, in dreams at night, to their
conscience…….God is always speaking! No one goes to hell innocent,
throughout their lifetime God has consistently solicited their love. It’s all they
do all day everyday, is tell God “no” yet He keeps reaching! Why? Because of His
great love for us!
Be encouraged, keep praying for people, as long as there is life there is hope!
