Years 4, 5 & 6 Parents - Please remember to return your application form if you
would like your child to make their First Holy Communion this year. The Enrolment
Mass will be on Sunday 29th January.
First Holy Communion Mass will be on
Sunday 18th June 2017.
KEEP OUR SCHOOL CLEAN
We are finding a lot of chewing gum on the carpets and floors. There is also chewing gum in the
playgrounds and paths where parents stand at the end of the day. Please dispose of chewing gum in
the bins provided and remind your child that they should not have chewing gum in school.
Thank you for your support.
Start of the Day
There are still a number of families arriving after 8.55am.
If your child
arrives after 8.55am this will disrupt, not only your child’s learning, but
also the learning of all the other children in the class.
Why not Set your alarm for 10 minutes earlier.
Set your alarm for 5 minutes before you have to leave the house so the children know
it is time to put coats on and leave.
We record all late arrivals and this is monitored by the Attendance Team at Lancashire
County Council. Persistence lateness may result in a visit from the PAST (Pupil
Attendance Support Team).
Dinner Money
Please ensure that dinner money is paid for in advance of the meal being taken.
School dinners are £2.20 per day or £11.00 per week.
If you are unable to pay for the meal please provide a packed lunch.
If you think you are entitled to Free School Meals please contact the Welfare Benefits
team at the Education Office on 01524 581207. You will need your National Insurance

Head lice
Please remember to check your child’s hair on a regular basis. If you find live head lice please treat.
You should also check other family members and treat if necessary.
Remember that some
treatments require a second application a few days after the first to be effective. Always read the
label.
Girls should have their hair tied in a bun or top knot to prevent head lice transferring from
head to head.
You SHOULD NOT keep your child off school if he/she has head lice as this cannot be authorised.
