IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT TERM TIME HOLIDAYS
Please be aware it has recently come to light that ALL unauthorised holidays will result in a fine being
issued. Information we had been given earlier indicated that parents might not receive a fine if their
child’s attendance was high all year – this is not the case.
I have also been informed by the Enforcement Officer that it is the school’s legal duty to notify the local
authority of all unauthorised holidays.
As mentioned in the newsletter of 19.09.2014, in nearly all cases absence from school cannot be
authorised for holidays, absence can only be authorised for exceptional circumstances.
(Sorry, but exceptional circumstances does not include needing to have a cheaper holiday)
Unfortunately, whatever we may think about these regulations, we are legally bound by them.
Packed Lunches
Thank you to all who have reduced the number of
items in their children’s packed lunches it has really
helped us to ensure children have time to eat
everything you provide for them.
For those of you who may have missed the
newsletter - we would like you to include no more
than 4 things for example:
Sandwiches, crisps, a yoghurt, a biscuit and a drink.
Please do not send sweets in children’s packed
lunches. Thank you for your support.
