Everyone is Welcome in the Lord’s House
There are no exceptions. There are no conditions. All are welcome here.
Heart to God, Hand to Man
Our first and greatest goal is to love the Lord God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.
As we worship, let us set aside our personal agendas and keep God our focus.
We invite you to join in our mission to make a difference in Spring Valley
and around the world as we serve others in the name of Jesus.
Nursery & Kids Church
Children are always welcome in worship services.
If you prefer, our staffed nursery is available for children up to age 4.
Optional kids church is provided during the sermon for kids 4 yrs – grade 6.
Special Needs
SVCC is an inclusive fellowship where people with special needs can fully belong.
Please let a greeter or pastor know how we can accommodate your needs.
“Come to me all you
who are weary
and burdened
and I will give
you rest.”
(Matthew 11.28)

A Few Good Men
Colossians 3.1-17 | Pastor Steve Babbitt
It only takes a few good men to change the course of history.
Moses and Aaron, Joshua and Caleb, David and his Mighty Men,
Daniel and his friends, Twelve ordinary disciples … and us today.
A Man In Uniform
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with

A Good Man is Clothed With:
Compassion - a

“What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?
Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food,
and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,”
but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit?
Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. (James 2.14-17)”
Kindness - g

“Anyone who withholds kindness from a friend
forsakes the fear of the Almighty.” (Job 6.14)
Humility - putting the n

“For by the grace given me I say to every one of you:
Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought,
but rather think of yourself with sober judgment,
in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.” (Romans 12.3)
Gentleness - c

“Let your gentleness be evident to all.
The Lord is near.” (Philippians 4.5)
Patience - able to d

“Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming.
See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop,
patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.” (James 5.7)
