EQUIPPED WITH 4 ANALOG INPUTS, 8 DIGITAL OUTPUTS, 4 ANALOG OUTPUTS SINTESY.eagle.S110 is a medical device used to control alarms in medical gas distribution systems. It complies with Directive 93/42/CEE e 2007/47/CE, identified in Class IIb according to the requirements of Annex IX, rule 9, and it also meets the requirements of the standard EN7396-1. It has 4 analog inputs, 4 analog outputs and 8 digital outputs which can be programmed by the user through a comfortable and intuitive front keypad. For each input it is possible to set the indication appearing during the alarm condition. The front panel provides acoustic and visuals signals complying with EN60601-1-8; a yellow light to indicate a medium priority alarms, a red light to indicate a high priority alarm and a buzzer. The acoustic emitter can be muted by the user for a programmable time (max 15 min). The digital outputs can be programmed to follow the behavior of the alarm thresholds and internal faults. These outputs can be connected, for example, to the GSM module SINTESY S140 to dispatch phone calls, SMS and/or e-mails. The analog outputs (optional) can be programmed to regenerate the analog input signals to be sent to other control systems, and it simultaneously performs a signal conversion. This way S110 can be used as a signal converter too. Moreover, analog outputs can be controlled via the RS485 communication ports. The typical application is the control of level and pressure of bulk tanks and cylinders for medical gases: reading of the percentage of oxygen, measure of pres- S110 / S110-AO sure in pipeline systems, reading of temperatures and, in general, any physical quantity which can be measured by a standard 4/20 mA transducer. It can work as a stand-alone device or it can be part of a network of other modules connected to a RS485 bus. Through this communication port, S110 can be controlled by a supervisory system SINTESY.eagle® which, through a synoptic chart, displays the status of all the sensors of the system. Using SINTESY.eagle.S200.smart it is also possible to monitor the status of alarms remotely. Thanks to the software SINTESY.eagle.wizard and using a standard PC, it is possible to program all the available functions. Moreover, it is possible to archive the configuration of a single S110 module, or of the whole plant, increasing the efficiency in case of reprogramming and achieving a better traceability of th installed modules.
