HIGH SCHOOL BUILDINGS: PAKI

HIGH SCHOOL
BUILDINGS: PAKI
In Kamehameha
High School there is a
building on the
campus named Paki.
It is very big and over
30 ft tall. I do not know
the exact
measurements of the
building because I
haven’t measured it.
I’ve been inside that
building before for an
art class in summer
school. Paki building
is used for school
classes, summer
school, and a pick up
area if you take bus or
car at Kamehameha.
It is located and
stretches from the
Ewa end across the
road to the bus stop
area and Diamond
Head end to the
Chapel Courtyard. It is
a blue and white
building, and very hard
to not see it. To walk
there from Keku you
can go up the stairs to
the pool then up those
stairs to the high
school and it’s the first
building you see
besides the Chapel.
After school some
busses go up there to
pick up some high
school students.

Paki was a real
person too. His full
name was Abner
Kuho’oheiheipahu
Paki. The high school
building is named Paki
after him. He is the
son of Pauli
Ka’oleioku and
Kahailiopua Luahine.
Husband of Laura
Konia and father of
Bernice Pauahi
Bishop, our founder.
Paki was once a ruling
Chief of Hawai’i. He is
also known as
Kamehameha III.

Number pattern
2, 4, 8, 16...
Use deductive
reasoning to find
the 5th term.
2 times 2 equals 4
4 times 2 equals 8
8 times 2 equals 16
So 16 times 2
equals... 32.
