REGULATIONS
AUTHORITY
1. T h e s e Regulations m a y be cited as t h e C a n b e r r a C o m m e r c i a l Development
A u t h o r i t y Regulations.
2 . (1) T h e C h a i r m a n shall be paid in respect of each day on which he attends
a meeting of the A u t h o r i t y —
( a ) if the d u r a t i o n of the meeting on that day is not less t h a n 3 h o u r s —
a fee of $ 6 0 ; and
( b ) if t h e duration of the meeting o n that day is less than 3 h o u r s — a fee
of $40.
( 2 ) A m e m b e r other than t h e C h a i r m a n shall be paid in respect of each day
on which he attends a meeting of the A u t h o r i t y —
( a ) if the duration of the meeting o n that day is n o t less t h a n 3 h o u r s —
a fee of $50; a n d
( b ) if the duration of t h e meeting o n that day is less t h a n 3 h o u r s — a fee
of $30.
( 3 ) Subject to sub-regulation ( 5 ) , the C h a i r m a n shall be paid for each day
o n which he is engaged, with t h e approval of the A u t h o r i t y , o n business of the
Authority—
( a ) if t h e period d u r i n g which h e is so engaged o n that day is n o t less
t h a n 3 h o u r s — a fee of $ 6 0 ; and
( b ) if the period during which he is so engaged o n that day is Jess than
3 h o u r s — a fee of $40.
( 4 ) Subject to sub-regulation ( 5 ) , a m e m b e r o t h e r than t h e C h a i r m a n shall
be paid for each day on which he is engaged, with t h e approval of the Authority,
on business of the A u t h o r i t y —
( a ) if t h e period during which he is so engaged o n that d a y is n o t less
t h a n 3 h o u r s — a fee of $ 5 0 ; and

( b ) if t h e p e r i o d d u r i n g which h e is so engaged o n that day is less t h a n
3 h o u r s — a fee of $30.
(5) Where a member—
( a ) attends a meeting of the A u t h o r i t y ; and
( b ) is, on t h e same day, engaged for a period, with the approval of the
A u t h o r i t y , o n o t h e r business of t h e Authority,
a fee is n o t p a y a b l e t o t h a t m e m b e r in a c c o r d a n c e with sub-regulation ( 3 ) or ( 4 ) ,
b u t the fee payable t o h i m in respect of t h a t day in a c c o r d a n c e with sub-regulation
( 1 ) or ( 2 ) is the fee t h a t would be payable to h i m in respect of t h a t day if, o n
that day, he had, in addition to attending t h e meeting referred t o in p a r a g r a p h
( a ) , also attended a meeting of the A u t h o r i t y during the period referred t o in
paragraph ( b ) .

Where—
( a ) a m e m b e r is necessarily absent overnight from his place of residence
in order to attend a meeting of the A u t h o r i t y ; o r
( b ) a m e m b e r is necessarily absent overnight from his place of residence
in o r d e r t o perform any business of t h e A u t h o r i t y o n which he is
engaged with the approval of the A u t h o r i t y ,
travelling allowance in respect of the period of absence is payable t o h i m at t h e
rate of $37 per day.
( 7 ) Travelling allowance payable u n d e r sub-regulation ( 6 ) is in addition to,
and does not include, t h e cost of conveyance.
