- While there are not any EVENT TITLE’S in June there are EVP packs on a number of the top releases BEST POTENTIAL FOR RETURN ON INVESTMENT
for the month including A Good Day to Die Hard, Warm Bodies and The Call.

- Snitch (based on true story, only avail. in combo)
- June has 52 recommended titles. There are three Re-Imagined Video Store (RVS) themes that dominate - Warm Bodies (zombie comedy, EVP, combo)
(Compelling Characters, Loads of Laughs and Thrills & Chills) our 10 RVS themes this month with half - Escape From Planet Earth (#1 anim. flick, 3D combo)
of the releases (26) falling into those three themes and 15 of them being ranked in the Top 25.
BUY DEEP, SELL OFF FAST!
- Barring any last minute changes to the June release schedule, the first week features the top 3 ranked

12 Rounds 2: Reloaded (#24 DVD/rent; #23 BD/rent) - Not a sequel. New character and film. Stars another WWE superstar (Randy Orton). EVP TBD. Also available on Rentrak.
ABC's of Death (#26 DVD/rent; #21 BD/rent) - Closing Film at the TIFF Midnight Madness 2012. 26 short films/chapters/directors dealing ways to die. Limited theatrical in Canada.
Aroused (#26 DVD/rent) - 16 of the most successful women in the adult film industry share their stories. Little nudity. A niche title recommended if you have the budget and do well with docs.
Breaking Bad Season 5 (#26 DVD/rent; #26 BD/rent) - AMC’s second most watched drama (Walking Dead). The fifth and final season is the highest ranked of any TV series on MetaCritic.
Cloned (#26 DVD/rent) - Rental 1+1 Pack with The Employer. Break even after just two rentals on each title. Cloned has the better story of the two films but has limited cast appeal. Low cost.
Employer, The (#26 DVD/rent) - Rental 1+1 Pack with Cloned. Break even after just two rentals on each title. The Employer has stronger cast appeal (McDowell, Zane) than Cloned. Low cost.
Escape From Planet Earth (#7 DVD/rent; #10 BD/rent) - #1 animated film in June (appeal with kids 5-12). Depth for summer. Split the 3D/BD/DVD combo. Also available on Rentrak.
Funeral Kings (#26 DVD/rent) - Critically acclaimed coming of age flick. Official Selection at the SXSW Film Festival. Definitely worth a copy or two if you have the budget.
Good Day to Die Hard, A (#1 DVD/rent; #1 BD/rent) - EVP Pack - TBC. The #1 action film in June. Split the combo. Strong franchise awareness. Father’s Day gift giving. Also on Rentrak.
Hammer, The (#17 DVD/rent) - Based on a true story. Official selection at 7 film festivals. Plenty of acclaim. MMA/UFC has a strong following in Canada. Buy 3 & Save pack recommended.
Identity Thief (#2 DVD/rent; #2 BD/rent) - The #1 comedy in June. From the Director of Horrible Bosses. Unrated version. Split BD/DVD combo but still need plenty of DVD depth.
Last Ride, The (#26 DVD/rent; #25 BD/rent) - Timed for the 60th Anniversary of Hank Williams passing. Limited theatrical release. Recognizable cast. On Rentrak for those on Fox Output deal.
Mental (#19 DVD/rent; #18 BD/rent) - An Aussie comedy. Very good cast appeal (Collette, Schreiber). Limited theatrical. Very good reviews. No combo or packs so a few copies will suffice.
Pretty Little Liars Season 3 (#26 DVD/rent) - ABC Family’s #1 series with Teens & Female Teens, Adults and Women 12-34, 18-34 and 18-49. Timed to release with Season 4 premiere on TV.
Warm Bodies (#3 DVD/rent; #3 BD/rent) - Funny twist on a classic love story...zombies. A healthy box office, an EVP and a BD/DVD combo makes this title one of the best ROI titles in June.
JUNE 11TH RECOMMENDED RELEASES
Abduction of Eden (#26 DVD/rent) - Multi-Festival Award winner. Compelling subject matter. Beau Bridges still has appeal. Buy 3 & Save pack recommended for larger budgets.
Beverly Lewis' The Confession (#26 DVD/rent) - Sequel to The Shunning and based on the novel by the N.Y. Times best-selling author. Avail. on Rentrak for those on Sony Output deal.
Hansel & Gretel (#8 DVD/rent; #7 BD/rent) - Dark and gritty twist on the classic tale. Split a 3D/BD/DVD combo and BD/DVD combos or reduce risk and lower cost and order on Rentrak.
Have A Little Faith (#26 DVD/rent) - Based on the best-selling novel by Mitch Albom (Tuesday’s With Morrie). Inspirational drama with a terrific ensemble cast. Buy 3 & Save Pack available.
House of Cards Season 1 (#26 DVD/rent; Not Ranked on BD/rent) - Produced & Directed by David Fincher. Critically acclaimed. Available on Netflix so 90% of your customers have not seen.
Knife Fight (#26 DVD/rent) - A well-written and witty inside look at American politics. Good ensemble cast (Lowe, Moss). Although outside Top 25 a copy or two is a must for all.
Newsroom Season 1 (#26 DVD/rent; Not Ranked on BD/rent) - Nominated for 2 Golden Globes. From the mind of Aaron Sorkin (Social Network, West Wing). Release timed for S2 on TV.
Oz: The Great and Powerful (#4 DVD/rent; #4 BD/rent) - From Disney. #1 Family Fun title and box office film so far in 2013. Split the BD/DVD combo. Note 3D sku is not a combo.
Snitch (#6 BD/rent) - Only available in a BD/DVD combo. A well-reviewed and liked action/drama inspired by a true story. Good performance from Dwayne Johnson. Also available on Rentrak.
JUNE 18TH RECOMMENDED RELEASES
100 Below Zero (#26 DVD/rent) - Recognizable and reliable cast. Good boxart. One of only 4 What a Rush films releasing in June. Great low cost. Break even after 2 rentals. Worth a copy.
21 and Over (#12 DVD/rent; #11 BD/rent) - Will have appeal with the Project X crowd (males 16-34). No combo available. Rentrak a good option to lower your cost per copy.
Amazing Adventures of the Living Corpse, The (#26 DVD/rent; Not Ranked on BD/rent) - Animated horror flick based on the comic book series. Plenty of buzz and awareness.
American Mary (#26 DVD/rent; Not Ranked on BD/rent) - Ltd. theatrical in Canada (Sinister Cinema series). Bizarre and bloody. From the Soska Sisters. Best Picture winner at ScreamFest.
Brass Teapot, The (#20 DVD/rent; #22 BD/rent) - A dark comedy/fantasy based on the comic book series. Good young cast (Temple, Angarano, Bledel). Buy 3 and Save pack recommended.
In the Dark (#26 DVD/rent) - Cast awareness. A thriller with good boxart that will perform similar to “Insight”. Buy 3 & Save pack available but plenty of other films in the same genre available.
Jack - The Jack Layton Story (#26 DVD/rent) - Biopic of the late NDP leader. Premiered on CBC back in March and had over half a million viewers. A single copy for most if budget allows.
Jack the Giant Slayer (#5 DVD/rent; #5 BD/rent) - Rental and sell-thru appeal comparable to Snow White & Huntsman. BD/DVD & 3D BD/DVD combo available to split. EVP pack TBA.
Kung Fu Panda Legends of Awesomeness (#26 DVD/rent) - Value priced title. 154 min run time features 5 episodes from the top rated YTV series plus 2 bonus never before seen.
Movie 43 (#13 DVD/rent; #12 BD/rent) - An outrageous ensemble comedy featuring a who’s who cast of Hollywood. Tanked at the box office. Rentrak a good option to lower your risk.
Night of the Living Dead Resurrection (#26 DVD/rent) - Based on the 1968 George A. Romero classic. Another zombie flick. Low priced single. Available on Rentrak.
Numbers Station, The (#21 DVD/rent; #20 BD/rent) - Good cast appeal (Cusack, Akerman). From the Producers of Daybreakers. A decent thriller worth a copy or two. No packs or combo.
Quartet (#11 DVD/rent; #13 BD/rent) - Directed by D. Hoffman. Features an acclaimed cast (Smith, Gambon) of oldies. Appeals to the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel crowd. Avail. on Rentrak.
Stoker (#15 DVD/rent; #15 BD/rent) - Hitchcock style thriller with plenty of twists and turns and good cast appeal (Kidman). Limited theatrical so depth not a major priority. EVP Pack available.
Summoned (#26 DVD/rent) - A low cost crime thriller with Cuba Gooding Jr. Available on Rentrak but not recommended given the already low cost and lack of copy depth required.
Tower Block (#26 DVD/rent) - A British horror/thriller. Tense, gritty and well-written. Ranked just outside the Top 25. One of my sleeper picks for the month. Buy 3 & Save pack if budget allows.
JUNE 25TH RECOMMENDED RELEASES
Call, The (#9 DVD/rent; #8 BD/rent) - #1 Thrills & Chills title in June. Halle Berry creates crossover appeal for the genre/film. EVP and BD/DVD combo available. Also on Rentrak from Sony.
I Declare War (#26 DVD/rent) - An indie film in the vein of Lord of the Flies meets Stand by Me. Premiered at TIFF. Award winning Festival film. Buy 3 & Save pack for larger budgets.
Incredible Burt Wonderstone, The (#10 DVD/rent; #9 BD/rent) - Underperformed at the box office. Plenty of opportunity. Popular & funny ensemble (Carell, Carrey, Arkin). EVP & Combo.
Java Heat (#16 DVD/rent; #17 BD/rent) - An action thriller set in Indonesia that will appeal to both your older (Rourke) and younger (Lutz) demo. Buy 3 & Save pack recommended.
Last Exorcism Part 2, The (#14 DVD/rent; #14 BD/rent) - Sequel to the 2010 film. No combo available. Rentrak a good option to lower your cost per copy.
No (#26 DVD/rent; Not Ranked on BD/rent) - Nominated for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 2013 Academy Awards. Based on a true story. Worth at least a copy. On Rentrak from Sony.
Phantom (#22 DVD/rent; #26 BD/rent) - Terrific ensemble cast (Harris, Duchovny, Henriksen, Fichtner). No combo or pack hurts adding cost-effective depth. A copy or two will have to do.
Pusher (#23 DVD/rent; #19 BD/rent) - A fast-paced UK neo-noir crime thriller (Driver, Killer Joe). English-language remake of the director’s (Nicolas Winding Refn) 1996 film.
Rambler, The (#26 DVD/rent; Not Ranked on BD/rent) - Based on the 12-min. short from the same director. Dermot Mulroney has appeal. No pack or combo so a copy or two will do.
Revenant, The (#25 DVD/rent) - Horror/comedy in the vein of Shaun of the Dead & Zombieland. Will benefit from World War Z (zombies) in theatres. Buy 3 & Save pack recommended.
Upside Down (#18 DVD/rent; #16 BD/rent) - A love story with a unique and visionary premise in the vein of Melancholia. Rentrak a good option to lower your risk but add a little depth.
Venus and Vegas (#26 DVD/rent; #24 BD/rent) - Ensemble action comedy set in Vegas that will appeal to the 18 to 34 crowd. A good secondary pick-up. Ranked just outside the Top 25.
