Prize Giving encompasses many areas of the years activities and achievements by our students, and if it were possible every child would be recognised. Any achievement by a student over the year, either in the classroom or in the wider school community, is a testament to their personal and academic drive. You can make a time to see them or flick an email through. Staff emails can be found on our website at stjoes.school.nz or on our school app. The teacher can then action your concerns. Absentees and Office Information The School Office is open each day from 8.30am - 4.00 pm. Please contact the office either by phone or through the school app before 9.00am if your child is going to be late or absent. Please don’t email absentees to teachers as they not always on site to pass on details. Students who are late must come to the school office to inform the school of their arrival. Students who need to leave school for any reason during the day must be collected and signed out at the office. School Communication A newsletter is distributed every Tuesday via the eldest in the family. A copy of the newsletter is also uploaded on our school website stjoes.school.nz or via the school app. Make sure you upload the school app to your phone as it is updated regularly with alerts and information. We also have a facebook page St Josephs Morrinsville. This will have lots of photos and event information. School Stationery Stationery packs can be purchased through Paper Plus, Morrinsville or items can be bought individually. School Fees and Donations A formal account will be sent home at the beginning of March providing a breakdown of school fees and donations for 2017. The donations supplement Ministry funding and help provide exciting initiatives to support your child’s education. Thank you so much for your support. Sun-Smart at St Joseph’s All students require a school sun hat which is to be worn this term for all outside activities. The PFC have kindly donated class bottles of sunscreen. Can you please remind your child to put on sunscreen before coming to school. Those sun rays are extremely harsh. Positions Available We have a paid bus duty position available. It is for one hour each day from 2.50 - 3.50 pm. It can be done in a job share role. The role is to supervise children waiting for the buses. Can they please be returned to school TOMORROW Bus vests will be issued next Wednesday along with a bus contract for Parents and Students. BOOK AMNESTY Please CHECK ALL shelves, under the bed, bags, wardrobes...there is school library books outstanding from 2016. Any students who currently have a book issued against their name will receive a reminder. You may think they have been returned, but our records indicate otherwise, so please double check.
