General School Information
If parents have any queries or concerns about your child’s learning the first point of contact is the classroom teacher. You can make a
time to see them or flick an email through. Staff emails can be found on our website at stjoes.school.nz or on our school app.
The teacher can then action your concerns. Any other issues please contact the Principal.
Meet the Teacher Evening on Thursday 9 February 2016 Please see invitation on page 2.
Absentees and Office Information
The School Office is open each day from 8.30am - 4.00 pm. Please contact the office either by phone or through the school app before
9.00am if your child is going to be late or absent. Please don’t email absentees to teachers as they not always on site to pass on details. Students who are late must come to the school office to inform the school of their arrival. Students who need to leave school for
any reason during the day must be collected and signed out at the office.
School Communication
A newsletter is distributed every Tuesday via the eldest in the family. A copy of the newsletter is also uploaded on our school website
stjoes.school.nz or via the school app. Make sure you upload the school app to your phone as it is updated regularly with alerts and
information. We also have a facebook page St Josephs Morrinsville. This will have lots of photos and event information.
School Stationery
Stationery packs can be purchased through Paper Plus, Morrinsville or items can be bought individually.
School Fees and Donations
A formal account will be sent home at the beginning of March providing a breakdown of school fees and donations for 2017.
The donations supplement Ministry funding and help provide exciting initiatives to support your child’s education. Thank you so much
for your support.
Sun-Smart at St Joseph’s
All students require a school sun hat which is to be worn this term for all outside activities. The PFC have kindly donated class bottles
of sunscreen. Can you please remind your child to put on sunscreen before coming to school. Those sun rays are extremely harsh.
Positions Available
We have a paid bus duty position available. It is for one hour each day from 2.50 - 3.50 pm. It can be done in a job share role. The
role is to supervise children waiting for the buses. Please contact me ASAP if you are interested by giving me a call on 889 5306 or
emailing principal @stjoes.school.nz.
Have a fantastic week. May the sun shine upon us. God Bless Andrea Colebourn , Principal
