GuidelinesforParticipation
1. AllparticipantsmustbeacurrentLanderUniversityStudent,Faculty,or
Staffmembertobeeligibleforallclasses.
2. Allclassesareofferedonafirst-come,first-servedbasis.TheGX
Staffreservestherighttodetermineclassmaximumsbasedon
availableequipmentandfacilityspace.Aminimumof3participantsis
requiredforaclasstotakeplace.
3. Forreasonsofsafetyandcourtesy,noonewillbeallowedto
enterclassmorethan10minutesaftertheofficialstarttime.
TheGXstaffreservestherighttodenyparticipantsentranceif
theyarelate.
4. Allschedulesaresubjecttochange.Classesmaybe
temporarilyorpermanentlycancelledbasedonlowattendance
orotherreasonsnotspecified.Updatedscheduleswillbe
postedtothewebandatclasslocations.
5. Itisstronglyrecommendedthatyoubringwaterandatowelto
eachclass.
6. Allpersonalbelongings(otherthanID,waterandtowel),
shouldbeplacedindailylockers.TheGXand/orCampus
Recreationstaffisnotresponsibleforlostorstolenitems.
7. WiththeexceptionofYogaclasses,participants
musthaveathleticfootwear.
8. TheuseofiPods,cellphonesandotherpersonalelectronicsis
prohibitedwhenclassesareinsession.
ClassDescriptions
BOOTYBOOTCAMP–Thisclasswillconsistofhigh-intensityintervaltrainingthat
canleaveanyonebreathless.Bodyweightmovementssuchassquats,lunges,
pushups,andplyometricswillbeinvolvedplustheoccasionaluseofresistance
bandsand/orweightswillmakeallotherexercisesachallengeduringthisclass.
CROSSFIT–Constantlyvaried,functionalmovements,performedatrelativelyhigh
intensitywiththeintenttoincreaseworkcapacityacrossbroadtimeandmodal
domains.Improvesyouroverallfitnessbydoingdifferentexerciseswithcorrect
mechanics,consistencywiththesemechanics,andwithintensityafterthishasbeen

SPIN-Allclasseswillbeaninterval,alllevelspin-cyclingclassfocusedonburning
awaythoseunwantedcaloriesandstrengtheningyourlegsandcoreinagroup

YOGA-AnIyengarinspiredintroductiontothefundamentalsofyogawithan
explanationoftheposturescombinedwithcorrectbreathingtechniques.Classis
conductedatamorerelaxedpaceandalllevelsarewelcome.
FACULTY/STAFFYOGA–Similartoourregularyogaclasses,butonlyforour
faculty/staffmemberstogiveamorerelaxedandlessintimidating
atmosphere.
ZUMBA-Zumbaallowsanyoneandeveryonetohavefunwhiledancingand
exercising,andatthesametime-learningdifferentstylesofLatinmovementto
amazingLatinmusicandburningcalories.
