Meet the NHS Staff
Rita Calvin is New Horizons lead teacher for the 1 year old class. Her birthday is September
16, and her hometown is Billings, Montana. Rita’s favorite movie is Rob Roy, and her favorite
food is spaghetti with meat sauce. Rita has 2 young adult children, she also has a cat and a
dog. Rita’s hobbies and interests include country western music, dancing, and movies. Ms.
Rita just began her teaching career, and what she likes best about teaching is “playing with
the kids, and helping them learn new things.” If Rita could go anywhere in the world, she
would go to Paris, France. Rita’s goal in life is “to be happy and healthy for a long life.”
Maili Marras is New Horizons lead 2 year old teacher. Her birthday is February 5th, and her
hometown is Gonzales, Texas. Maili’s favorite movie is Ever After, and her favorite food is Subway. Maili has a pet horse named Goody, and would like children one day. Maili’s hobbies
and interests include movies, cooking, and visiting her family. Maili has been in the education field for 3 years, and what she likes best about teaching is “The Kids!! I love all their different personalities. I make me laugh everyday!” If Maili could go anywhere in the world,
she would go to Montana. Maili’s goal in life is to be comfortable and happy.
Anna Jimenez is New Horizons Afterschool teacher, and she is also our cook. Anna’s birthday
is February 14, and her hometown is Chicago, Illinois. Anna loves all Disney movies, and she
also likes The Outsiders. Her favorite food is Chinese and Thai food. Anna has a 20 year old
daughter. Her hobbies and interests include shopping and reading to children. Anna has
been in the education field for 15 years, and what she likes best about teaching is “ I like
talking to children and listening to them.” If Anna could go anywhere in the world it would
be Puerto Rico. Anna’s goal in life is “to own my own Preschool, and to make sure that children love to learn and have fun.”
Sarah Aebi is one of New Horizons Infant teachers. Her birthday is November 10, and her
hometown is Stillwater, Oklahoma. Sarah likes all kinds of movies to pick just one favorite,
and her favorite food is Mexican. Sarah has 2 children, a 9 year old daughter and a 2 year
old son; she also has a pet dog and a pet mouse. Sarah’s hobbies and interests include reading, listening to music, and watching movies. Sarah has been in the education field for 3
years, and what she likes best is “watching the babies hit their new milestones; I get almost as
excited as their parents.” If Sarah could go anywhere in the world she would go to Hawaii,
she loves the beach. Sarah’s goal in life is to raise my children to be respectable, functioning,
God fearing adults.
Donna Atkinson is one of New Horizons "all around” teachers, you’ll find her in ALL the
classes. Her birthday is April 28th, and her hometown is El Monte, California. Donna’s favorite movie is the Joy Luck Club, and her favorite food is baked potato and steak. Donna has 2
young adult children, 3 cats, and 1 California King snake. Donna’s hobbies and Interests
include boating, swimming, being outdoors, and spending time at the coast.. What Donna
likes best about teaching is “I love to see the smiles on the childrens faces.” If Donna could go
anywhere in the world she would love to spend an entire summer in the Florida Keys. Donna’s
goal in life is “to travel the world.”

Brilyn Bridges… “uh Halloween, um because it has „punkins‟ and we get candy and
we can eat them later.”
Allison Rauschuber…”um, Easter, we get a lot of candy and toys.”
Olivia Herring…”ummmmm Christmas, because it has a lot of presents. Ummmm
because I like cameras that take pictures.”
Madeline Roberts… “I like Halloween, because it has candy and I put on my
favorite costumes.”
