Potomac State College- Classified Staff Council- October 29, 2015
Present: Debi Cruse (chair), Molly Bennett (Sec/Treas.), Dinese Shreve, Jeffrey Hymes, Antonio Rascon-Gato, David Miller and Renee Anderson (ACCE rep)
Call to Order

Debi called the meeting to order at 11:30 am.
Minutes:

The minutes from the previous meeting were reviewed. David moved to approve the minutes as read. Dinese seconded the motion. Motion
carried by vote to approve the minutes as read.
Old Business:


Meetings will held on the 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 1:30 pm in the Administration Building Room B13 for the remainder of the semester.
David made flyer to explain how to find the new pay raises on MyAccess site. This will be distributed electronically, by paper and posted on the
website.
New Business:

Antonio volunteered to fill the position vacated by Jeremy Kaler on the Enrollment Services Council.
ACCE:


Rene presented the Council with materials related to the proposed increase in PEIA cuts and increases in deductibles and out of pocket
payments. She will be attending the public hearing on November 2 in Morgantown. Debi plans to attend meeting in Martinsburg on November 3.
ACCE is putting together a presentation. ACCE is also encouraging everyone to come to the public hearing and/or contact legislators. Due to
uncertainty, retirees are encouraged to cash out their sick leave.
The new bi-weekly paychecks will begin on December 11, 2015.
Board of Governors Meeting

Debi and Rene will be representing Potomac State College Classified Staff at the meeting on November 6 in Morgantown. They will be allotted
about 15 minutes to share any concerns with the BOG. Debi has already met with Dr. Colelli to discuss the presentation. Other issues to present
are PSC allocation of funds should be based on enrollment, a more subjective and uniform employee evaluation system and the possibility of
employees receiving discounted medical services through WVU Medicine.


Molly made the motion to adjourn the meeting at 1 pm. Jeff seconded the motion. The motion carried by vote for adjournment.

11/2/2015
The following item was voted through email and passed unanimously.
1. The cost for Debi Cruse to rent a car and attend the PEIA Meeting in Martinsburg on November 3 will be approximately
$100.
2. The cost for Debi Cruse to rent a car and attend the Board of Governors meeting (to give the presentation) on
November 6 will be approximately $85.
3. The cost for Renee Anderson to attend both of these meetings should come out of her ACCE budget. (PEIA and the
BOG meeting)
