Growing up in a military family, Chris has always had a knack for order and organization. And her many years of canine agility teaching and competitions have taught her perseverance and patience. All of which are important skills for her role as Legato’s Executive Assistant. Chris Suelflohn Office Manager With over 25 years of administrative and office management experience, Chris is a crucial factor in the everyday running of Legato. While her main responsibility is supporting the president— scheduling meetings, prepping presentation materials or coordinating correspondence— she also handles most of the overall office administrative functions. She works with office vendors, keeps everything (and everyone) organized and helps prepare proposals and contracts. Chris also has a hand in the financial side of the agency. She is responsible for pulling financial and productivity reports as well as preparing invoices and making sure they are paid on time. Prior to Legato, Chris spent 10 years as the office manager at a Green Bay transportation company where she handled accounts receivable and accounts payable, payroll, insurance, DOT compliance, dispatch, customer service and much more. Outside of work, Chris’ life mainly revolves around her five rescue shelties, four of which started as foster only situations (hence the “foster home failure”). She’s a current member of the Packerland Kennel Club and regularly participates in agility competitions throughout the area. In fact, one of her shelties, Johnny, received the title Master Agility Champion or MACH in September 2013. This means Chris took Johnny through four levels of agility competitions and achieved 20 Double Qs—20 perfect days of running two runs per day with no faults—among other qualifications. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, John—when it’s not deer hunting season— and her family at their cabin in Northern Wisconsin.
