YOU UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT THE RISK THAT THE PROVISION BY CELL C (PTY) LTD TO
YOU OF ITS “UNRESTRICTED” APN MAY RESULT IN THE UNAUTHORISED ACCESS AND/OR
USAGE OF YOUR DEVICES. THIS IS BECAUSE THE “UNRESTRICTED” APN BYPASSES THE
FIREWALL AND CELL C SECURITY MEASURES THAT CELL C PUTS IN PLACE TO PROTECT
YOU FOR INCOMING CONNECTIONS TO YOUR COMPUTER/LAPTOP. IN ORDER TO ALLOW
AND OFFER THE “UNRESTRICTED” APN SERVICE TO YOU, IT IS NECESSARY TO DISABLE
THESE SECURITY MEASURES. THEREFORE, THIS MEANS THAT YOU ACCEPT THE RISK
THAT BY USING THE UNRESTRICTED APN, YOU’RE ALLOWING OUTSIDERS TO CONNECT
TO YOUR COMPUTER/SERV ER.
You understand and agree that neither Cell C (Pty) Ltd nor any of it agents, service providers,
contractors, directors, employees and servants shall be liable for any losses, costs, damages,
expenses, (whether direct or indirect) claims and/or injuries (including but not limited to losses, co sts,
damages, expenses, claims and/or injuries incurred by you, or any other party, arising from the
unauthorized access to and/or usage of your devices by any other person) incurred or sustained by
you, or any other person, arising from Cell C (Pty) Ltd providing you with its “unrestricted” APN, and
you hereby indemnify and hold Cell C (Pty) Ltd, its agents, service providers, contractors, directors,
employees and servants harmless in regard thereto. You understand that you will be liable for all data
costs due to incoming connections. Please note that although we take every measure to ensure that
the “unrestricted” APN is provided to you on a consistent and continuous basis, sometimes, because
of circumstances beyond our control we cannot always guarantee a continuous fault free service.
