STUDENT REFERRAL SCHEME
TUM Asia’s Master of Science programmes are delivered in the

Students are admitted into our programmes based on a set of stringent
criteria. Industry partners comment that the interns and graduates from
TUM Asia are highly motivated indivuduals with a strong desire to learn
and acquire new knowledge.
Therefore it is with confidence that we can count on you to refer
potential remarkable students like yourself, whom you think can benefit
from the same quality education here at TUM Asia. We will be pleased
to reward you for successful referrals based on the the terms of this
Student Referral Scheme.
Who can be the referrer?
This scheme is designed for TUM Asia’s matriculated students and
alumni, being eligible as referrers.
Employees and staff of TUM Asia and related Universities are
exempted from this group.
How will the referrer be rewarded?
The referrer will be awarded with S$ 800.00 (Eight Hundred Singapore
Dollar) for each referred student‘s successful admission and
matriculation to any of TUM Asia’s degree programmes.

How does it work?
Administration
Please inform the referred student to select “GIST-TUM
Asia Alumni” and indicate the referrer’s name under the
section “How Did You Get To Know Us? > The source
from which you first heard from us” in his/ her online
application form during the online application period

between 15 October 2016 to 31 March 2017.
Failure to do so will disqualify both you and the
referred student from the referral scheme.
Submission
The Student Recruitment team from TUM Asia will hand
out the Student Referral Form to the referred student
during the matriculation day at TUM Asia based on the
information entered into the online application portal (as

indicated in “Administration”).
The completed Student Referral Form should bear the
signatures of both the referrer and the referred student
and be submitted to TUM Asia’s Graduate Office within
three months from the matriculation date. Late
submission or via any other form of submission will
not be entertained.
Conditions

A student can be referred by one(1) referrer only.
If more than one person claims to be the referrer, TUM
Asia reserves the right to decide whether the award
shall be given to one person only or shared
proportionally. Each referrer can only be rewarded for a
maximum of 5 referred students per intake.
Confidentiality
TUM Asia will not reveal any information about the
status of the referred student(s) at any point in time to
the referrer. Once the student is matriculated with TUM
Asia, the referrer will be informed about his/her
successful referral.
Discretion
TUM Asia at her complete discretion will have the sole
right to reject any application or student’s matriculation.
Reward and
Payment
The reward will be awarded only if the referred student
is matriculated with TUM Asia and attends its courses.
The award will be paid out within a month after TUM

Asia has received full payment of the 1 installment of
the referred student’s tuition fee (approx. four months
after matriculation date).
The method of payment will be at the sole discretion of
TUM Asia. Transaction costs (if any) will be borne by the
referrer.
Termination
TUM Asia may amend or terminate the Student Referral
Scheme at any time. This will not affect any antecedent
claims of the referrer.
If the referred student has withdrawn, been exmatriculated or dismissed before the end of his studies
for whatsoever reasons, the award payments will be
terminated correspondingly.
The referrer is encouraged to support the referred student(s) in their
studies and to remind them to be punctual about their tuition fee
payments.
