The hour hand goes around the clock twice each day.
From midnight to noon are the A.M. hours and from noon to midnight are
the P.M. hours. Midnight is 12:00 A.M. and noon is 12:00 P.M.

To find 1 hour and 50 minutes after 2:25,
First add the hours:
2 P.M. " 1 hour # 3 P.M.
Next, add the 50 minutes to the 25 minutes:25 " 50

Rename 75 minutes:
75 minutes
# 60 " 15 min
So,
75 minutes
# 1 hr " 15 min
Add the 1 hour and 15 minutes to 3:00: 3 P.M. " 1 hr " 15 min # 4:15 P.M.
