STANDARD COMPOUND
•Our base polymer is Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR); however, we have access to others such
as NR, NBR, EPDM.
FIRE RETARDANT
•Since we do our own mixing, we can add fire retardant chemicals into the compound. We do
not paint, dip or coat the finished product. It is fully integrated. Our standard compound
passes UL-94HB for flammability resistance. Other testing in progress.
UV PROTECTION
•Our product, just like tires, has built-in UV Protection
•Our rubber will not break down due to outdoor exposure

THROUGH SULFUR-BASED CROSS LINKING WITH TIME, TEMPERATURE AND PRESSURE.

thousands of rounds of both handgun
and rifle calibers including 9mm,
5.56mm and 7.62mm depending on
round placement and type of steel
backplate (backplate is required).
Black Iron Rubber is pleased to hold a Resource
Recovery Facility Certificate from the State of
Minnesota. We take others’ often unusable raw
materials and convert it into outstanding product.
The Cure Package is the only thing not recycled,
making our product 99% green.
