FRIDAY, 22 FEBRUARY LAST SAW OVER 250 INSURANCE PROFESSIONALS AND GUESTS
JOIN TOGETHER AT THE CLAYTON HOTEL TO CELEBRATE THE INSURANCE INSTITUTE OF
GALWAY’S (IIG) 43RD ANNUAL DINNER. SECTORS FROM RIGHT ACROSS THE INDUSTRY
WERE WELL REPRESENTED WITH INSURANCE COMPANIES, BROKERS, LOSS ASSESORS
AND LOSS ADJUSTERS ALL IN ATTENDANCE.
President (2012-2013), Derek Coffey took the opportunity to remind
guests present of the importance of active involvement in Local
Institutes, such as IIG, the networking and relationship building
opportunities they present and encouraged guests to not only
continue with, but strengthen their Local Institute involvement.
Mr Coffey also took time to thank members for their awareness of
corporate social responsibility and the generosity they have shown
in support of The Insurance Institute of Galway’s recent fundraising
initiatives in aid of both children’s cancer charity, Hand-in-Hand and
industry charity, the Insurance Charities.
In recognition of his tireless work and support of IIG over the
last 20 years, long standing member, Jim Molloy (Jim Molloy &
Associates) was this year’s recipient of The President’s Award.
Cllr. Thomas Welby, Mayor of County Galway and RTÉ’s John
Murray were the evening’s guest speakers, whilst entertainment
was provided by Irish dance troupe, Mystic Force.
