• Refer to your procedural outline and your project time logs
• Answer the following prompts within your reflection paper
• What I did…
• Challenges I faced…
• What I learned…
• Develop your information, answering more than “yes” or “no”
• Write in a way that the reader understands the reflection paper
without having to identify the prompts or questions
Reflection Paper Content
• What I did…
• Summarize your entire project into one complete paragraph
• Challenges I faced…
• List the problems you encountered, describe how you handled
these issues, and tell what you would have done differently
• What I learned…
• List what knowledge or skills you gained from the project itself
• Describe what you learned about yourself during the experience
• Describe what risks you took in completion of this project
• Emotional, intellectual, physical?
• Tell what “soft” skills you developed throughout this process
• Assertiveness, organization, etc.
Reflection Paper Tips
• Organization
• Include an introduction, a body with main points, and a conclusion
• Use paragraphs and indent them
• Avoid use of bullets, headings, or numbers; this is not technical writing
• Word Choice
• Avoid use of contractions, “dead” words, and repetition
• Avoid use of the word, “we,” as this is your project!
• Sentence Fluency
• Write in complete sentences (no fragments or run-ons)
• Vary your sentence constructions
• Conventions
• Proofread for correct use of grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc.
• Have someone else proofread also!

My senior Exit Project involved setting up and managing
the Rock Creek football team website this fall. I spent about
30 hours on this project, both throughout the summer and
the fall. In the process, I faced several challenges and
learned much about web design.
