Getting Started
To get started on relining your fishing pole, take off the old line and discard it
properly. Then gather all of your materials.
1. Starting at the tip, feed the new line through each of the guides down the rod
2. Continue feeding the new line down the rod and then stop once you have
reached the reel
3. Once the line has been pulled through all the guides, feed it through the
guide that is inside the reel

or O-ring tool to help you get the line around the spool)
2. Tie a square knot in the line
3. Thread the line two to three times in the square knot

Finishing Up
1. Begin to turn the reel handle clockwise. Keep one hand loosely around the
line to make sure there are no kinks in the spool
2. Keep turning the handle until the line is about ¼ inch from the rim of the
spool, then stop
