Eurosonic Noorderslag offers members of the media a
multi-functional space to work. The media compound
consists of two parts:
1. Media Compound
The Media Compound is accessible to all media with an accreditation. The compound contains working units, radio studio, a media library, a press backdrop
and great coffee. Audio and video material of Eurosonic Noorderslag shows are
available for media use. Interviews can also be conducted in the media compound.
You are welcome to use the radio studio. You only need to send us a mail.
Media Compound opening hours:
Wednesday 12-midnight
Thursday 10:00-20:00
Friday 10:00-20:00
Saturday 10:00-02:00
2. Live sessions studio
A live-session stage where Eurosonic Noorderslag artists perform in an intimate
setting. Dutch public radio and TV tape these sessions and make the recordings
available to EBU partners. Other media can use up to 60 seconds of this material. On Wednesday, January 14 2015, a special press event offering one-on-one
interviews with the acts participating in the EBBA will take place at the Media
Compound.

for the media to conduct interviews and photo sessions with the

2. EBBA Artist and media meet & greet, from 19:30 to 21:00.
Directly after the show the EBBA winners will be available in the
Marathonzaal for a meet and greet with the media. You need to sign
up for this by sending an e-mail to [email protected].

After the Pop award show, on Saturday evening January 17, 2015 at
23.45 an informal press meeting with the winner will be held in the
media Compound. If you want to attend this meeting please drop us

Due to the large amount of acts performing at Eurosonic Noorderslag we can’t arrange interviews with all of the acts. However, we
can help with artist contacts and help media arrange interviews
themselves. For the EBBA we do have an extended programme and

Eurosonic Noorderslag makes free-to-use videos daily with small
edits of concerts and conferences, live sessions and interviews.
This material will be available the following day on the website of
Eurosonic Noorderslag.
You can find event information, the latest news, press releases,

Eurosonic audio
This years EBBA TV programme will be filled with Europe’s hottest
music talent. Styled as a festival report, we will entertain you with
the sound of new European music. The show features music of this
years EBBA winners as well as music and content from established
European artists.
Audio recorded by the public broadcasting partners at Eurosonic Noorderslag is available for public broadcasters/EBU. Not
for commercial media. For more information, please ask the

Legendary BBC-Host Jools Holland will present the awards to all
winners in an exciting new setting during Eurosonic Noorderslag.

We offer the ability to have your national/local host feature this TV
show. For this edition of Eurosonic Noorderslag we will facilitate the
recording and editing of this custom version of the show.
In addition we can offer separate 30 minute performances of individual winning artists on request to be used on TV.
Small and rough…’
Small and rough parts of the EBBA show will be available for media
a few hours after the show.
The whole TV show of the EBBA Awards will be available for public
broadcastings stations (EBU) from of January 21, 2015. Commercial media will be able to use 1 minute of the material, after signing
an agreement. For more information, please ask the hosts or the
librarian in the media compound.
Photography
Members of the press who want to make photos during
Eurosonic Noorderslag need to get a press accreditation and
photo pass.
Please give room to the official photography team of Eurosonic
Noorderslag. Their free of right photos will be available for the
media the following day, in the press section of the websites.

During Eurosonic (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) the city of
Groningen is dedicated to the newest European artists, the most
promising acts in their homeland, but often unknown outside the
borders of their home country. Eurosonic is the main European
showcase festival and is supported by the European Broadcasting
Union (EBU) and Yourope.

ETEP
Awards
The European Talent Exchange Programme (ETEP) is an initiative
of the Noorderslag Foundation to stimulate the circulation of
European repertoire on festivals, radio and media in Europe. Each
year ETEP brings together the leading European festivals, radio
and other media and stimulates them to ‘exchange’ a selection of
artists. Since the start of the ETEP programme in 2003 a total of
1970 shows by 708 European artists were presented at the 81
ETEP festivals (2003 – 2013).
A range of national and international awards are presented during
Eurosonic Noorderslag to emphasize the success within the music
industry.
