WIKUS – Sägenfabrik GmbH & Co. KG expands carbide product family!
The carbide product family of the high-tech band saw blade manufacturer from
Spangenberg in Northern Hesse is established on the global market for many years.
Innovation and progress characterize the family-owned company.
The name of the newly developed carbide-tipped band saw blade is DUROSET®
PREMIUM. WIKUS has successfully applied the set carbide band saw blade DUROSET®
for the cutting of steels on the market for many years. DUROSET® was once designed for
the use on bandsaws without carbide package.
In order to optimize the processing of steels on bandsaws without carbide package, the
departments „Research & Development“ and „Technical Support“ of WIKUS – Sägenfabrik
developed DUROSET® PREMIUM.
DUROSET® PREMIUM is a coated band saw blade with a hardness of approx. 3800 HV.
A higher blade-life results from this innovative advancement. At least the same cutting
performances and thus a significantly optimized economic efficiency of the cutting process
are the results of the use of DUROSET® PREMIUM. Another advantage is the reduced
noise emission.
Successful internal and external cutting trials verified the performances of this new blade
quality.
