HOW TO BE IN HEALTH November 27, 2016 3 John 1:2 (NKJV) 2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. 1. soul prospers (mind, will, emotions and thoughts) 2. be in health 3. prosper in all things WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE IN HEALTH The most famous modern definition of health was created during a Preamble to the Constitution of the World Health Organization as adopted by the International Health Conference, New York, 19-22 June, 1946; signed on 22 July 1946 by the representatives of 61 States (Official Records of the World Health Organization, no. 2, p. 100) and entered into force on 7 April 1948. "Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." 1. Inner Health (mental and social well-being) 2. Physical Health (absence of disease or infirmity) Inner Health (How you see yourself) Your Image, looks, appearance Psalm 139:14 (NIV) 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. What you think about or meditate on CAUSES INTERNAL STRESS. WORRY WORRY WORRY What do you worry about? Money, family, friends, work, yourself or tomorrow? 1 Matthew 6:25-34 (NIV) 25 "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? 28 "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. A Peaceful mind is a worry free mind!! A mind that is stayed on God lives in perfect peace. (Shalom, The state of being at ease is experienced both externally and internally.) Peace, be well, prosper, whole. Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV) 3 You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. 2.
