AAOM Active Member – MD or DO 2. Copy of Current, Active State Medical License 3. Prior Attendance: AAOM Annual Conference 4. Completion of AAOM Prolo101 course or equivalent 5. Prior attendance: Annual Denver Workshop (Prolo200 course) a.IROM 201 is an Intermediate-level IROM/Prolotherapy educational course & medical mission which takes place in beautiful Cancun, Mexico, designed to give each physicianlearner a direct, hands-on treatment experience with live patients. b. Our host physician and Clinic Coordinator is Dr. Wajid Burad, a Cancun native and Sports Medicine Physician, who coordinates the patient recruitment, treatment, and follow-up care of all the local patients. c. IROM 201 is a high-volume experience with live patients, so the physician-learner can expect to personally perform supervised, directed, palpation-guided Prolotherapy injections on no less than 50 patients. d. There is a limited number of physician-learners admitted to IROM 201 such that the maximum student to instructor ratio is 4:1. e. The pre-requisites for IROM 201 are: i. Be an active member of the AAOM in good standing, and ii.Have taken the Denver Cadaver Workshop (IROM 200), or prior participation within the last 5 years of any AAOM international workshop, or prior participation within the last 5 years of >1week of any international HHPF Prolotherapy trip Curriculum Fulfillment for Specialist in (IROM) IROM 301: AAOM Advanced-II: US-guided Prolotherapy: Cancun, Mexico f. The 301 course is designed for the learner who is interested in increasing the accuracy of her Prolotherapy injections of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, and/or preparing for more accurate placement of “more advanced” IROM procedures, such as PRP and stem cells. g. The physician-learner will be instructed with no more than 4:1 student to instructor ratio. h. Will be required to perform US-guided Dextrose-Prolotherapy injections on a minimum of 20 patients, under the supervision of the faculty. i. Course is limited to 12 physician-learners.
