Happy December Red Rocks Families!
I cannot believe that half of the year has come and gone. We are
gearing up for Winter Break, which is here at Mitchell this year. The last
day to sign up for Winter Break will be December 2nd, so please make
sure to sign up on time!
My team and I would also like to invite you to our Fall Family Night on
December 16th. I have sent out e-vites to all emails that I have on file,
so please be sure to respond so we know how much food and
activities to provide! Please see the extra details below! I am
celebrating my 1 year anniversary at Mitchell, and I have sincerely
enjoyed being here. Thank you all for your continued support of our
program, and I am looking forward to many more fun experiences
here with you all!

activity, and a games table for everyone to enjoy!

Homework Jar Progress:
Your kids have worked very
hard on completely filling
our Homework Jar! Our goal
is to fill it twice this year, and
we are expecting it to be full
by the end of this month! In September, we
received the mini-prizes which consisted of
coloring books, slinkies, bouncy balls, and
bracelets. In mid-November, we finally had
Pizza for Snack! This month, we’re almost to
our new item! This means we will start fresh in
January, and will hopefully fill it up again by
the end of the year!

Our clubs within the program have been
really well received by your children. We plan
to continue clubs after Winter Break. In
October, Emily and Ara created an obstacle
course in order to see which team could
create the chemical reaction first. In
November, Aishah and her looming team
made some rubber-band bracelets that were
fun and easy for the kids involved!

A NOTE TO ALL KINDERGARTEN PARENTS:
Starting January 10th, we will no longer be picking up
kindergarten students from their classrooms. The last
day that we will pick up kindergarten students will be
on Monday, January 9th to give them one last
refresher on how to walk to Red Rocks. Kindergarten
teachers will be notified of this change, and they will
be able to assist in the transition. We do this so that
kindergarteners will be prepared for 1st grade, when
they do walk to Red Rocks alone.
