A Note from the Director:
Welcome… and thank you for choosing Tempe Adult Education Program to
be your partner in achieving your educational and career path goals! You have
made a very courageous and important decision to return to school and plan for
your next steps. It’s important for you to know that, in support of you, our
program strives for excellence, values diversity, and encourages creativity and
innovation. By attending class regularly, communicating with your instructors,
working independently and monitoring your progress, we know that you will
succeed! YOU are our priority… We’re glad you are part of our program!

How to enroll:
In order to enroll, students must:
1. Register: Bring 2 forms of ID.
2. Pay: $55 maximum for 9 weeks of
class – Discounts available!
3. Take Placement Test:
By appointment only.
Please, no children!
• All students will be tested in
Reading first. Testing in Math
and Language may follow. The
test takes up to 3 hours. You will
get scores and a class schedule.
4. Attend Orientation
• We will talk about program
expectations, the official GED and
your personal goals.
5. GO TO CLASS!

What are classes like?
We offer face-to-face classes with
instructors who tailor lessons to your
needs. You will learn as a whole class,
small groups and independently. You
can always ask questions. Our
teachers want to help you learn!
We use exclusive online programs
to help you learn and practice
computer skills. You can continue
learning at home, as well.
Career and College Preparation is
part of your program. The GED is only
the first step!
