This Week’s Question:
My roommate is a bit on the smelly side,
but I do not want to tell them because it
might hurt their feelings. How do I tell
them without upsetting them?

Gnomey’s Response:
Inside this issue
“Dude or dudette, just sit down with them
and make a safe place for you two to talk
and say….. you smell like a sewer! Just kidding… you need to be careful and not point
fingers. Say something like, “I feel like our
room is smelling a bit, do you think we
should both shower a little more frequently?” Not placing blame goes a long way! It’s
that simple.

Last year, Mr. Jake strolled into the Gow summer program expecting to be the best
baller there. However, he was in for a rude awakening. The first day he spent the whole day
evaluating all the campers to see who he would battle with for the "Throne of all the Ballers
in the Land of Gow." He waited all day for the very first AIC. Finally, it was time for his first
AIC which was basketball of course. He had found his enemy. It was Aidan C. Right away, he
challenged the village hero. Aidan easily whooped Mr. Jake. He crisscrossed applesauced
him. Immediately Mr. Jake soiled his pants with embarrassment. He destroyed Mr. Jake and
as Mr. Jake lay crying on the ground Aidan said,
"Don’t reach, young blood."
After the embarrassment, Mr. Jake knew he needed a change. He went to the gym
five days a week, but that didn’t make him the true baller he set out to be. He was looking for
the secret…the secret to ball. He went to extreme protein shakes every day from an extremely muscular man he met in the gym instead of looking to his heart for the secret to ball.
After just six hours of extreme mystery protein shakes, he gained 600 pounds of muscle and
was huge. He thought he could finally win but when he took a shot and it went straight
through the backboard. Eventually, Mr. Jake learned to control his touch, but he was still no
match for the village hero. As Mr. Jake drove to the hoop, Aidan leapt up and swatted him
like a fly. He was extremely embarrassed. Then Aidan said,
"Don’t do weird protein shakes that strange extremely muscular men give you at the YMCA,
young blood."
Carson’s Dream Life
In 10 years, I hope I will own a penthouse in California next to the beach because
it's warm there and its popular across America. I also wish I could own a summer
vacation house in the Caribbean instead of going to GSSP for the whole summer. I'd rather be out with my friends than be at GSSP. If I wasn't at GSSP I
would be at my friend's house. In 10 years Aidan Comerford is going to be a professional Baller for the New York Knicks with an amazing height of 5.7. His
coach, Mr.Giacomini, trained Aidan really hard to reach his dream height of 6.0
of course that never happened, but we can all dream...right?
Maria’s Poems
About the Four
Pillars
The 4 pillars are kindness, respect, hard
work, and honesty. Today, I am going to
collect poems and phrases about the four
pillars. I hope you enjoy these poems
about the 4 pillars….
Kindness is like first love it can change a
life with a miracle and a promise to wipe
away sorrow and strife.
Respect people's feelings even if it doesn't
mean anything to you, it could mean eve-
rything to them.
A dream doesn’t become reality through
magic, it takes sweat, determination, and
hard work.
If you want to be trusted, be honest, if you
want to be honest be true, if you want to
be true be yourself.
These 4 pillars are for us to follow. The 4
pillars are important because they tell us
what things are right and what things that
aren’t right. The one I like is hard work because it tells me that if you work hard in
all classes you will succeed but if don’t
work hard then you won't succeed.

This weekend's trip for ages 12 and up is going to Letchworth State Park for a
hiking trip. The trip will have us go deep into the forest allowing ourselves to detach
from society. Some of the activities are going to be swimming through the valley's
rivers, roasting marshmallows for Smores, and sleeping under the stars. Unfortunately for those campers, this weekend has a high chance of rain. On Saturday, it
will be 78 degrees Fahrenheit with an expected shower lasting until 12:00 AM. On
Sunday, it will be 79 degrees Fahrenheit with another expected shower lasting until
12:00 AM.
Then for ages 11 or younger, they are going to Buffalo and Western New York
to look around the area and explore. Also, they will go to a Bison's game. Buffalo
and Western New York will have the same weather forecast for Saturday and Sunday.
