Now that you have read “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” by James
Thurber, it is your task to continue that story. Write another imaginary
episode from Walter Mitty’s perspective in the style of James Thurber. Use
the original as your model.
Requirements:
 Must include a triggering event.
 Must include something that snaps Mitty back to reality.
 Must write from the third person limited omniscient perspective
(just as Thurber does).
 Must include at least one other character.
 Must clearly convey a sequential order of events in a fantasy sequence imagined
by Walter Mitty.
 May not be less than 300 words or longer than 3 pages.
 Must be TYPED and turned in at the beginning of class on the due date.
NO LATE PAPERS WILL BE ACCEPTED. THIS IS A MAJOR GRADE.
