Nataly Viviana Vargas Gamboa I feel myself as a very fortunate

Nataly Viviana Vargas Gamboa
(Executive Director of “Dr. Arturo Isaías Lema Del Pozo Foundation”)
I feel myself as a very fortunate person, because I had the opportunity to share important forums with outstanding personalities in the field of education and protection of
Human Rights around the world.
Due my intense activity I was
invited to discuss and debate at
the same level of “seniors and
experts scholars and activists”.
Was not an easy task to open
spaces between older academics
and a scenario dominated by
man, but, I demonstrated in all
my activities that young woman,
like me, have a lot to say in the
academic and politic sphere.
My lectures in different countries (Mexico, Spain, Peru, Colombia and Bolivia), showing problems and challenges of the
new regulation and public policy in
Bolivia, had very good acceptation. Reason by I was also invited
to being part of distinguished research groups in Europe and Latin
America (Los Andes UniversityColombia, Pompeu Fabra University-Spain, University of Salamanca-Spain, Carlos III de Madrid
University-Spain, DePaul University-USA).
Also, I published more than a dozen of chapters of books and articles
about the protection of Human
Rights, Political Issues, and legal
affairs. Of all these documents I
would remark three chapters in different books:
http://www.upf.edu/dhes-‐alfa/materiales/docs/DHGV_Manual.pdf;
http://www.upf.edu/dhes-‐alfa/materiales/docs/DHGV_Guia_practicas.pdf and http://www.upf.edu/dhes-alfa/materiales/docs/PMDH_Manual.pdf, edited within the
ALFA Project (Funded by the
European Commission), with the
participation of many prominent
judges, scholars and activists, that
are used by 16 universities in Europe and Latin America for teaching Human Rights.
I am really grateful to develop all
my work within multidisciplinary
and multicultural groups and to
have with it, the opportunity to
change my society.
