Sunday, December 6 Second Sunday in Advent—Theme is “Peace” Jingle Bell Breakfast On Sunday, December 6th from 9am-12pm at the St. Francis of Assisi Middle School Cafeteria and Gym. The 8th graders will be hosting the Jingle Bell Breakfast to raise funds for their Washington D.C. trip. The cost is $5 for the Breakfast. There will be a chance for families to meet Santa and pick up pre-ordered Christmas poinsettias or purchase them on site. Also, First Chrysler will donate $10 for every car that is taken for a test drive here at the middle school on that date. Thanks in advance from the 8th grade class for supporting them. Student Council Dress-up Date Just looking ahead, I would like to remind you that we will have our band and choral concerts out at Roncalli High School Zimmer Auditorium the week of the 14th. The Band concert is on Tuesday, December 15 at 7 pm. The Choir concert is on Thursday, December 17 at 7 pm. Jingle Bell Breakfast -Pancake breakfast from 9 am-12pm here in the MS gym. Tuesday, December 8 8:45 Mass— Mrs. Warfield’s Homeroom —Feast of the Immaculate Conception— ***This is a Holy Day of Obligation*** Tryouts for Musical in choir room 3:15-4 pm The middle school student council has decided to raise some funds to help families in need this Christmas. To do this the student council has come up with three dress up days through December. The way it works is that if a child pays a dollar to wear jeans and the chosen dress up clothes. This in no way is mandatory but a fun way to raise money to help those who are in need. Here are the dates and the dress up requirements. Wednesday, December 9 Student Council Dress up Day— Students pay December 9—Christmas or Holiday Socks a dollar to wear jeans Day and wear Christmas December 15—Holiday Hats Socks! December 22—Ugly Sweater Tryouts for Musical in choir room 3:15-4 pm Fiddler on the Roof Try-outs This Tuesday and Wednesday after school down in the choir room will be try-outs for the middle school musical. We have chosen to do Fiddler on the Roof Jr. The show dates are Feb 27 & 28th. If you have any further questions please contact Mr. Thiele.
