You can either do five laps of the short route on paths or you can take the longer riverside route (which was very popular last year) and do 3 laps. Or, you can mix them up. We do not stipulate that you have to do the 5 miles – do whatever is comfortable for you in the time allowed. 2. There will be no registration on arrival. Everything you need for the Walk will be sent to you beforehand on receipt of your completed entry forms and correct fees. 3. Late entries will be accepted on the day in the Celebration Suite where we will also have a help/control desk to help you. Please arrive a little to give yourself more time to register. 4. Please make sure you read the entry form carefully and fill in all the areas asked for. Remember to sate whether you are male/female or child as this helps with the distribution of goody bags. 5. Refreshments will be available at various points around the Park. 6. You will be advised where to park. Wicksteed Park often has other events on so please be aware of possible congestion at the entrance. 7. Crazy Hats goods will be on sale and we will be running a very special ‘pink tombola’. 8. The Awards evening will be held on Thursday March 24th in the Pavilion (7.30p.m.) Please encourage teams to enter and please make every effort to make your hats ‘crazy’ as there are many, many different categories to win awards. 9. "Together we CAN make a difference" £5.00 £5.00 £8.00 16th We look forward to seeing you – don’t forget your crazy hats!!! £8.00 Please do all you can to ensure this year’s Walk is another huge success by encouraging friends, family and work colleagues to take part. By giving up just one morning each year we can, together, make a significant difference and help so many more people whose lives have been affected by breast cancer in Northamptonshire. LEAVE BLANK We are proud and delighted to say that Avon have, once again, and for the 9th year running, sponsored the Walk to the sum of £10,000 together with ‘goodies’ for the goody bags. This helps tremendously with running costs, t-shirts for all walkers and medals. Thank you AVON! Sincere thanks too, to Wicksteed Park for allowing us to use their wonderful facilities and to all sponsors – AO Copy, Premier, Weetabix, Northamptonshire Telegraph and others who support the event so well. With increases in postal charges adult entry fees only have been increased by 50p. *N.B. All correspondence will be sent to the first name on the form unless otherwise requested. I’m sure you have all realised that earlier this year we reached the magical £2 million – most of which has been donated to either Kettering or Northampton General Hospital’s breast care, screening, plastic surgery and oncology units enabling them to enhance the excellent facilities they provide. We thank each and every one for helping us to reach this amazing achievement but, we cannot sit back on our laurels. Breast cancer cases in the county are high and the hospitals need our support more than ever, so we must continue in our efforts to help them but, and more importantly, we all know the levels of support needed for breast cancer patients and their carers and families, away from the hospitals, are higher than ever and our small premises in Wellingborough are proving to be inefficient with high numbers coming through our doors on a very regular basis. Every week we see new patients who have been diagnosed and, quite simply, we do not have enough room anymore to give these patients the time, privacy and space they need. Therefore, we are pro-actively working with MP’s, Councillors, Architects and other personnel to think of ways whereby we can relocate to bigger and better premises. In order to do this we are going to have to work exceptionally hard to raise the funds needed, so this year all your hard-earned sponsorship money will be used for this exciting and challenging project – a project that is so urgently needed for Northamptonshire. Thank you, in advance for your support. Together we CAN make a difference! ENTRY FORM – 14th Annual Sponsored Walk 2016 No 14 here we come!! It seems like only yesterday when we organised our first Walk at Wicksteed Park back in 2003 when 250 people, wearing their crazy hats joined us. Now, almost 3,000 support this memorable annual event – the biggest event of the year for Crazy Hats. ✂ A note from ‘The Crazy Lady’ - Glennis Hooper
