Objective: Understand what brinkmanship was and how both the United State
and USSR used it.
Activities:
1. Bell Ringer: take quiz 26-4 with partner
2. Students will discuss advance organizer sheet over the reading and
make sure that they have the correct answers
3. Students will watch the short video on the U-2 Incident.
4. Read and discuss the hand out on “Dwight D. Eisenhower’s Statement
on the U-2 Incident”; there are questions to answer and discuss on the
worksheet
Assignment: complete worksheet #42 for tomorrow
Test will be on Monday, May 9th, vocabulary quiz will be on May 10th
